The terrace at Scott’s is one of Mount Street’s highlights and this year, to celebrate the Chelsea Flower Show, they have approached esteemed and critically-acclaimed gardener, Marcus Barnett, to cast a little floral magic in their direction. From Friday, 8 to Tuesday, 26 May, Barnett will use a delicate veil of spring hedgerow flowers to filter the light at the edge of the canopy. These will be mirrored by a rich and abundant display of more wild flowers suspended over the terrace with herbs and umbels of cow parsley, weaving in between a rustic chandelier. Known for his classically contemporary style, Barnett is designing the Daily Telegraph Garden at Chelsea this year, so we are thrilled that he’s found time in his hectic schedule to spend a little time in Mayfair.
In keeping with the floral theme, Scott’s bar team has created a list of cocktails with a floral bias including the Rose & Gold with hibiscus tea syrup, Lillet Rose topped with Champagne. There are few better ways to spend an evening that sitting at the bar at Scott’s, fostering one of these cocktails, feasting on shellfish or fish and soaking up the Scott’s buzz.
